[diy] scalloped

scallop hem fashion inspiration

 my version

materials:
1. pair of pants/jeans
2. hard paper
3. clips/pins
4. scissors
5. paint (optional)

ugly straight cut jeans that i have, looks really baggy when i wear them on. so off they should be up-cycled!

step 1. grab a piece of hard paper, fold them like this, use something round to make a outline as seen.
then fold then together and cut long the line.

step 2. use pins or paper clip to clip both legs of your jeans together.
then place the template on the desired part, and draw the marking using a pencil.
(but before that, wear your jeans first and decide where you want to cut them)

step 3. hold one of the legs, and cut through both pieces of fabric along the outline,
repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other leg.

 done!.
i wore it, and thought its a little too long to be fashionable.
so i repeated steps 2 and 3 again to shorten the hem.

 perfect length for me.

to spice things up a little, i added some neon colours, since neons the latest fashion.
this is optional of course.
