[diy] french neon capped toes with a slight twist

materials:

1. shoes

2. neon fabric paint/ spray

3. lacquer spray

4. ribbons

5. buttons of various sizes

6. masking tape/tape

7. glue gun

 original colour

 nurse like off white shoes 

 step 1. wear the shoes on, place your feet together, 

and paste masking tape across to make sure both caps to be painted are about the same size. 

 step 2. paint neon paint on. because i am using paint here, 

i did 4 coats to obtain the desired colour intensity. 

air dry/ or use hairy dryer to blow dry between coats. 

 2nd coat.... .... 

step 3. once you are satisfied with the colour intensity, blow dry it, 

then spray lacquer on it to protect it against weather wear and tear, and to give it an extra shine. 

 step 4. remove the masking tape and you are done! 

i looked at it the whole night and felt something's missing. so i did this. (see below)

(you can skip the steps below if you like your shoes just like this) 

 step 5. get ribbon of desired colour, measure the length needed to cover the entire cap, 

cut, and apply fabric glue, then stick on. 

hold it down on both ends with your fingers for a few moments to let the glue work on better. 

 step 6. get 2 big-sized buttons of your desired colour. use hot glue gun to stick it on. 

(here, the buttons are all hand painted by me using nail polish. tutorial to come soon)

step 7.likewise, glue gun the smaller lime colour buttons onto the back of the shoes. 

done!
