i need an ice-cream now to keep the stress at bay

my event is finally going to take place this coming sunday and yet i am sneaking a post here al because i am overwhelmed with things to do. well well, i am not ranting or complaining. shhhssss but i must confess, i like being busy. well, some how some what.

looking forward to bakerzin alcoholic series mooncake treats at the end of all the hardwork!

kith cafe @ Parkmall Dhoby Ghaut

one of the best cafes that we have been to after penny university. the place is relaxing given that its in town. right on top is the smoked duck sandwich that i had. pretty cool combination of smoked duck with green apple and Japanese cucumber drizzled in balsamic vinegar dressing. right above, is what the boyfriend had, pasta with beef steak, spinach and tomatoes in chilli, olive oil and garlic. its so damn good that its totally worth the $22 it called for. we were so full after this, that we couldnt have those delicious cakes that we wanted. but we will definitely go back to try them all out! 

Flock Cafe @ Tiong Bahru, Moh Guan Terrace

bacon and poached egg in cream sauce, from Flock Cafe at Tiong Bahru. nothing really special, kinda disappointing. wont visit again since i felt it wasn't worth its price at all. 

Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe @ middle road

awfully chocolate @ katong

not so awesome awfully chocolate main. the chocolate drink was great. thick and smooth, so thick and so smooth that you must drink it in a shoot glass. miso spag was nah. spag as not well-cooked, and it dint taste of any miso. great disappointment! for the price we paid, i would say, its not worth the try at all, unless you want to try to chocolate drink, if not you can definitely find cheaper and better options else where.

mega huge macaroon @ Penny University

the macaroon was superb the mocha is great. totally money worth.

the macaroon is not stuffed with the usual sweet paste, but earl grey ice-cream. totally neuralises the sweetness of the macaroon sandwich. perfect combination with dark chocolate and strawberries and blue berry bits.

its simply love! you must try it!
