thick luscious hair, everyone wants that, but not everyone has it. here's some tips for you.
diet:
1. eat (half boiled) eggs. hair is a composition of protein. so of course, you must eat lots of protein to have beautiful hair. and eggs, they are the cheapest and best source of protein out there. i used to have fine brown hair when i was a little girl, and my dad made me eat lots of eggs. now, i nice black hair.
2. eat home as much as possible if you can. well. we all know eating out is bad for our health because you can never really know how much of those ajinomoto or what-not they add to your food to make it tasty. these substances, if ate constantly over a long period of time, they do somehow cause hair fall.
3. dont drink the soup. well, some people might say, they dont have the time to cook at home. then the option i can provide here is to eat food that is more bland. for instance, yong tau fu, porridge, etc. if you love to eat noodles, try not to drink to the bowl's bottom, because most of those unhealthy stuff are left inside the soup. so try to drink less.
4. eat for fruits and vegetable. i dont think i have to explain why.
shampoo:
i cant really share much about this, only my experience. i have oily and limp hair, and thats probably due to my very active sebum production. to counter this, i use shampoo for oily hair. i wash my hair twice a day, usually in the morning, i will use the for oily-hair shampoo mixed with volumizer and use it to clean my hair. after bath, if you want to prolong the fresh look of your hair, sprinkle some baby/body power onto your scalp and be sure to spread them out evenly if not you will have greying hair, which is not what you want. the baby powder will help you absorb the excess sebum your scalp produces. after a day's of work, i use shampoo for frequent wash to give it a light clean. done!
caring for your hair:
1. dont go to bed immediately after you wash your hair. according to my parents and grandparents alike, they say its bad. in the long run, it causes rumathisim to the head. i dont know how true this is, but well, just listen to them, they know it best.
2. use some oil. if your hair is really tangled up and wet, apply some hair serum to the ends of your hair, then mess your hair up so that the oil gets distributed evenly throughout. use a wide teeth comb or brush to brush your hair. if your hair is too tangled up, try to comb through your hair using your fingers, then use the comb/brush.
3. using the hair dryer. dont point the dryer directly as your scalp. point it downwards why trying to blow dry your hair. you dont want the heat to bake your brains and spoil your hair.
4. suing the straightener: apply heat protecting cream/ hair serum to the ends of your hair, then stoke your hair from crown to ends with your palm. this will ensure that the crown gets a little of a serum, but not over-clogging your hair roots which might result in hair fall or dandruff.
5. keep it natural. when ever possible, try not to apply any hair products to your hair. just a slight hair serum will do if you really need to. this will give your scalp a 'resting' window from all the chemicals that might affect it.
happy hair day!
